Consultations

A consultation at Shertech Pharmacy includes a private one-on-one conversation in person with a pharmacist of your choice (male or female). During this meeting, you will receive information about hormones and all the different ways these hormones can affect your body. Our pharmacist will discuss the causes of symptoms you may be experiencing: hot flashes, night sweats, sleep loss, lack of energy, low libido and many more. Our pharmacist will outline the necessary steps to get you and your life back on track. These steps may include testing your hormone levels through saliva, blood spot, or a combination of both. He/she will then go through the process of what happens after getting tested and what to expect. He/she will go over the different dosage forms you can choose from (topical cream, capsule, troche), the pros and cons of each dosage form and the frequency of each dosage. Since a physician needs to actually write a prescription for any hormones, our pharmacist can provide names of local physicians who are experienced in bio-identical hormone replacement therapy, so you can choose your own physician. Our pharmacist can make recommendations to your doctor based on lab work and/or symptoms, in order to individualize a dose and dosage form that fits you.
